UTN adds to several different educational initiatives from the Cardano Foundation including its own Cardano Academy, plus partners in Brazil and Dubai

13 June 2024, Zug – The Cardano Foundation today announced a partnership with the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional (UTN) of Buenos Aires, Argentina, which will see the two entities collaborating on educational projects aimed at expanding the understanding and adoption of blockchain technology.

The new partnership with UTN will see both parties working together to foster blockchain education for UTN’s students, which will involve the ADA Labs for Blockchain Applications (ALBA) as facilitated by ADA Solar. Empowerment through education is a central part of the Cardano Foundation’s mission, which in practice sees the Foundation working with stakeholders across society to achieve blockchain literacy.

The UTN partnership builds upon a number of successful educational initiatives the Cardano Foundation commenced in 2023, including the launch of the Cardano Academy. A flagship education resource, the Cardano Academy is a comprehensive blockchain education programme that introduces students to the basics of blockchain over the course of four modules.

CEO of the Cardano Foundation Frederik Gregaard commented, “Education and innovation is at the heart of the advancement of blockchain. By partnering with renowned academic institutions, such as UTN, the Cardano Foundation works to ensure the next generation of developers, industry leaders, and regulators can steward this technology to its fullest potential.”

Dean of UTN Buenos Aires Guillermo Oliveto added: “We are excited to take this step on the journey towards the future of blockchain technology with the Cardano Foundation. Together, we are opening the doors to a future where ensuring access to education transforms blockchain technology and how to maximize its utility.”

Today’s announcement follows other educational partnerships previously announced by the Cardano Foundation, including with the state of Entre Ríos in Argentina, Brazil’s Petrobras and the Dubai Blockchain Center. In advancing its mission, the Cardano Foundation continues to seek out and develop more opportunities for educational partnerships across stakeholders and around the world.

Further information about the Cardano Academy is available at the Academy's platform.
